Hello, my name is Zach Kovack, and I am the Executive Director at Nova, a non-profit youth center in Highland Park, Illinois. We opened in the summer of 2011 and have welcome over 2500 high school students into our facility. Our mission is to empower youth through social events, programming, and social service. We have our own internet radio station where 30+ students have formed 11 different shows that they put on weekly. We provide high school bands with a place to play, hosting concerts on the weekends, as well as a practice facility two times per week.
On January 12, 2013, we are having our first annual fundraiser. We are hoping to get a few bands to perform here on our stage as we attempt to gain the community’s support through gifts and donations.
